Research and educational programs recently and currently being conducted by the Desert Research Institute at Storm Peak Laboratory are funded by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

   Other ongoing support has been provided by the Yampa Valley Legacy Education Initiative, outside research projects, teaching institutions, and charitable donations.
